FMCSA-Approved ELDT program
Class A CDL applicants must complete the Class A CDL curriculum outlined in the FMCSA regulations. Students must complete all the topics set forth in the ELDT curriculum before the BTW (Behind the Wheel) curriculum.
Once you complete your online Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT), your record will be uploaded to the FMCSA’s Directory within 24 hours. You can check your record here.
Upon completing the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) program’s theory training portion, you will be equipped with the essential knowledge to pursue a career as a professional CDL driver. The theory training focuses on building your understanding of the rules, regulations, and theoretical aspects of operating commercial motor vehicles (CMVs). CDL Permit exam readiness: The theory training prepares you for the written examination required to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) permit. This permit allows you to practice driving a CMV under the supervision of a licensed CDL holder.
