CDL of America’s training programs are designed to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to safely and effectively operate commercial vehicles. Our training typically includes classroom instruction as well as hands-on experience behind the wheel.

Here are some key aspects of the CDL training program:

1. Classroom Instruction:
   Students receive comprehensive theoretical instruction covering topics such as traffic laws, vehicle operation and maintenance, logbook regulations, trip planning, and safety procedures. This classroom training helps students understand the fundamentals of commercial truck driving.

2. Practical Training:
   CDL of America provides hands-on training to students, allowing them to gain experience in operating commercial vehicles. This includes vehicle inspection techniques, coupling and uncoupling trailers, maneuvering skills, and defensive driving techniques. Students have the opportunity to practice their skills in a controlled environment under the guidance of experienced instructors.
   
   

3. Road Practice:
   Once students have gained sufficient knowledge and confidence, they move on to on-road practice. During this phase, students get real-world experience by driving on various road types and conditions, learning how to handle different traffic situations and challenges that may arise during their truck driving career.
   
   

4. CDL Exam Preparation:
   CDL of America’s training programs focus on preparing students for the CDL exams. They provide guidance and resources to help students pass the written and practical exams required to obtain a commercial driver’s license.
   
   

5. Job Placement Assistance*: Upon successful completion of the training program, CDL of America may provide job placement assistance to help excelling graduates find employment opportunities in the trucking industry.
